Psalm 100

This well-known psalm has been used for many pieces of music and forms of worship. It is a call to worship the Lord and speaks of our connection with Him as his children. It invites the reader into the presence of the Lord to “make a joyful noise”.

King James Version (KJV)

English Standard Version (ESV)

New International Version (NIV)

100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

100 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!

    Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;[a]
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
