Psalms
The Psalms are a collection of songs and poems in the Old Testament. Many were written by King David, a prolific musician and writer, but the book actually has many authors spanning centuries, from Moses to Solomon to the descendants of Korah. These passages were often meant to be played to music and many songs and pieces of music have been inspired by these ancient words. In the Psalms we can find words of hope, praises of rejoicing and glory to God, and gratitude for the gifts He’s given; we can also find lamentation, questioning, doubt, anger towards God, and unimaginable despair. There is truly a Psalm for every season, and we hope you find one that fits yours here.
