Multiply Disciples & Bless Our City

"A strategy of our 2020 Vision..."

Broadview exists to be a Great Commandment, Great Commission, Acts 1:8 Church. By the year 2020 we envision God using us to (1) create a disciple-making culture of multiplication with at least 100 training personal discipleship coaches, (2) bless our city through the mobilization of 80% of our small groups in local mission initiatives, (3) strategically plant or revitalize five church in North America and (4) sacrificially send four long-term missionaries from our congregation to the uttermost parts of the world.

How it all began...

This vision isn’t anything new for our church. The cultural DNA of Broadview has always been one of outreach, missions and evangelism. This was especially true with the planting of Broadview West in 2006.

We planted Broadview West with the hopes of being able to reach a demographic in our city that we otherwise wouldn’t have reached. We wanted the unreached peoples on the North Side of Dyess Airforce Base to have a church within walking distance.

We were given a piece of property right on the corner of Military Drive and Chapel Hill Road. It sat directly inbetween Dyess Airforce Base and three mobile home parks.

THE DECISION TO MULTIPLY

We’ve been able to minister to a group a people through our West Campus that we would’ve never been able to reach otherwise.

Broadview West has been a great example of the heart behind our vision to “Bless The City” and “Multiply Disicples.”

We didn’t want to just add. We wanted to multiply. We didn’t want to just do for ourselves. We wanted to do for others.

We now have a new opportunity to take that commitment to an even higher level. That’s what Multiply: Bless The West is all about. Multiplying disciples and blessing our city through the stengthening of what God is doing in and through our West Campus.

OUR GOALS

Broadview West has been experiencing a special kind of growth these past 12 months. Not only has there been a sustained growth in attendance. There has also been a sustained growth in spiritual maturity, membership engagement and leadership development. There is a disciple-making culture of multiplication begining to form. That’s why we are challenging everyone in our church to MULTIPLY even more by “Blessing The West.”

This year, through our Multiply Offering, we are trying to raise between

$75,000 (Basic goal) and $100,000 (Wowlelujah! goal).

Reaching our basic goal would enable us to extend the existing sanctuary westward so that we can add the neccesary seating to accomdate the current growth. Reaching our WOWlelujah! goal would enable us to update the sound/technology and extend the parking lot to accomodate future growth. If you’re ready to make your commitment now you can do so here.

Exponential Growth

This project will also position our Main Campus to take our vision of blessing the city to an even greater level. Already we’ve been able to bless our city through the planting of Broadview West. Now we will be able to see that impact grow exponentially.

Through this campaign we hope to accomplish the following four things.

1) Multiply Facilities: The west campus is maxed out. We need to multiply our building capacity so we can accomodate more people. Buildings are tools for making disciples.

2) Multiply Disicples: We want to increase the number of people we reach with the good news of the gospel but this campaign will also help multiply disciples by stretching our faith, hope and obedience.

3) Multiply Thanksgiving: In March of 2005 Broadview launched a giving campaign to build the west campus. So many people have been reached through that effort. 12 years later we are able to multiply our thanksigivng to God for his faithfulness in bringing people back to himself.

4) Multiply Finances: It takes money to build. Our basic goal is $75,000. This will add 2,000 square feet of finished sanctuary space. Our WOWlelujah goal is $100,000. This goal will provide additional parking and technology upgrades.

It's Time To Multiply

We will have our Bless The West ingathering day on Easter 2017.

We ask that you prayerfully consider what God may have you to do.

As the Apostle Paul tnew the Corinthians,

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work…

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8, 10-11)
