Day Twenty-Seven

Father as our Spiritual Growth Campaign starts tomorrow, we come with thankfulness of the Holy Spirit. You said it would be to our advantage that you go away so your Helper would come. We pray for spiritual majurity during this campaign. We pray your Holy Spirit is free to move and work in us. Father you said in John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears will speak, and he will declare to you the things are to come. We ask that you come and speak through our Pastors as they deliver the message you have prepared for them. Unite us as a church through this campaign. We pray for open ears and hearts to receive these messages. We ask for your protection from the enemy. We ask all these things in your name…

Lord send those you have chosen to be leaders of Bible study and prayer warriors through this campaign, for such a time as this. We want to welcome in your Holy Spirit in all that we do and bless our pastors and leaders and prosper all they have set their hands to do. Amen

Day Twenty-Six

Father may we be strong and walk by your strength and not our own. Help us to stand firm in our faith in this dark world. Teach us to be serious about our relationship with you and may we be open to seek you more through this upcoming campaign. May we seek to have a deeper understanding of you. Help us put our armor on daily and to sustain against evil attacks. We ask for your protection over the people of Broadview Baptist Church as we seek to know you more. Keep our pastors protected from distractions as they deliver your message. Go ahead of us Lord and prepare the ground.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.  Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,  and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:10-20

Lord send those you have chosen to be leaders of Bible study and prayer warriors through this campaign, for such a time as this. We want to welcome in your Holy Spirit in all that we do and bless our pastors and leaders and prosper all they have set their hands to do. Amen

Day Twenty-Five

Father, we come today with thanksgiving. We are thankful for your grace and mercy. We thank you for being patient with us. We thank you  for dwelling in our hearts through faith that we may be rooted and grounded in you. We thank you for sending your son to take the penalty we deserve. We are days away from our campaign and we ask that you go before us. We ask for open hearts to receive your message. Father, bring unity among your people at Broadview. Help us see that we can’t do this on our own, and we can have hope in you. Give us a heart for others and a yearning to seek after you.

Day Twenty-Four

Father, we thank you for doing above all we could ask or think this day according to Your power working in us. We thank you that we do not need to look to our right or left, but we only need to  keep our eyes on You and You will direct our paths. We thank you that Jesus was the word made flesh, and we abide in Jesus and Your word abides in us. We ask that your Holy Spirit to live and move freely and have His way within us in our church, marriages, children, and families. Give us a heart for the lost and open our eyes to see all people like you do.

Day Twenty-Three

Father we thank you that we have the reassurance of our faith in you. Help us hold fast to you and not neglecting to meet with one another. Help us come together throughout this campaign and encourage one another. We pray you guide everyone to a group and help them get connected.

19 Therefore, brothers,[c] since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, 33 sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. 34 For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. 37 For,

“Yet a little while,
and the coming one will come and will not delay;
38 but my righteous one shall live by faith,
and if he shrinks back,
my soul has no pleasure in him.”

39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. Hebrews 10:19-39
